There are quite a few online shopping websites catering to India now, but the big three are Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal.
Among the three, Snapdeal has had some problems, even though they have started campaigning vigorously with Aamir Khan as the brand ambassador.
Flipkart was made in India and built up quite well.
Amazon was an international brand and jumped into the Indian market after seeing how well Flipkart was doing.
My advice is to check prices and reviews in all three (and possibly a few more like Paytm, Rediff, Indiatimes), before buying.
Also look for offers and coupon codes. 90% of the time there is a coupon code or offer if you just Google it.
