What is the difference between any GIF(pronounced JIF) and a cinemagraph ?

Cinemagraphs are a lot more sophisticated. They tend to start with a high-quality still photograph as their source – an image that could stand alone as a great photo if viewed without animation.

 The camera position does not change, and most cinemagraphs drastically limit the motion involved in the image – some are so subtle it can be hard to spot the animation. Finally, the motion is repeated as seamlessly as possible.
When a cinemagraph is executed correctly, the simple GIF becomes something subtle, artistic and expressive.

How to add a Cinemagraph GIF as a Google Plus Cover Image ?

Very Very simple !

First, find a good cinemagraph with wide enough resolutions. (Or make one from a video to gif convertoer)

Then, go to your Google Plus Profile Page.

Move your mouse to the cover picture, when you hover on it, a "Change cover" option should pop up

Have you seen the Vodafone Ads with animated cartoon characters with an alien look or simply a stupid egg-head character with disproportional white bodies and black dots for eyes and mouth ?

Well, they are NOT animated ! And they are not stupid either ...

And have become a sensation in cricket crazy India, being watched with as much interest as the 20-20 IPL matches themselves.
What was the Hutch / Orange / Vodafone Dog's name ?

And Zoozoos have replaced the good old Hutch pug ‘Chika’ who was later replaced by "Spikey".
Chitika was they dog in "Wherever you go, our network follows", by Hutch (earlier Orange, now Vodafone).

These Zoo Zoos Vodafone TV ads may resemble animated cartoon creatures, but they are people too. Some Mumbai actresses (yeah, but not Bollywood) are in those costumes and it is shot in an oversized ad film set.

It was created by the creative team at Ogilvy and Mather (O&M) India.

The Vodafone company plans to air 30 different commercials featuring the Zoozoos during the Indian Premier League’s (IPL) Twenty20 cricket series .

Several characters were drawn up and considered by executive creative director (South Asia) Rajiv Rao and his team at O&M India, before they settled in on Zoozoo.

“We were very close to what you see as the final version of Zoozoo. The only difference was that we had two options, one that looked more like Mr. Potato Head, a completely round body with thin limbs… the other, a thinner version with a big head and scrawny limbs. We picked the latter as it was easier to have head and body movements in that costume,” says Rao.

And then, in two-and-a-half months, the agency had to come up with the films, each of which is 20-30 seconds long.

“We had to shoot, edit and finish sound recording for 30 different television commercials in 10 days. The whole thing, pre-production included, took a little over a month and was shot completely in Cape Town, South Africa,” says Rao.

Zoozoos are not animated characters but are actually slim women actors from local Mumbai theatres, dressed in white costumes that are stuffed with foam to portray the characters.

Guess Who ? Can u identify these frosted pictures of famous celebrities ?

I got these pictures from a newspaper contest. They are photos of famous celebrities who were in the news recently and you have to identify who they are to win a prize of Rs 2000/-

That sounds simple, but the frosted pictures are so frosted that I cannot identify who they are.
Can you ?
I'm putting up a few examples.

I don't know the answers. There are also a few sample answers of previous contests to get to know the type of celebrities they would be askin about. Basicallly, Indian or people in recent Indian news including Michelle Obama....

Who is Funda Arar ?

Well do you want to know who is Funda Arar ? Well, here she is - A Turskish singer from Istanbul, Turkey.

She was born in Ankara and spent the early part of her childhood there,and the later part of it in Muğla and Adapazarı. She studied at Istanbul Technical University's music conservatory, specializing in the mandolin.

She is not related to the word funda - meaning a fundamental truth which hits you with a brainwave and you think that it is the most wonderful idea ever seen. But more about her, if you please.

Being a singer, she obviously had lots of famous albums,and her first album Sevgilerde, came out in 2000 and became a big hit, especially the song "Aysel".

Sevgiliye was released a year later and included hits like "Seni Düşünürüm" and "Cesminaz" in collaboration with Kıraç.

Alagül and Sevda Yanığı, her third and fourth albums came out in 2002 and 2003 which had the songs "Haberin Var mı?", "Aşksız Kal".

Arar's newest album Son Dans, was released in March 2006 following a long break.

See through, transparent desktop wallpaper - laptop actually

Now this is a wallpaper. Transparent so that you ca see behind your computer - hey that's not possible.

Now, how is this done ???

Firstly, is it possible to just take a photo of what is behind the computer and use it as a wallpaper ?

It is possible, but very difficult to get it right .


How is this picture done ???

very simple. Just take a photo of the place and take a separate picture of the laptop. Then using a photo editing software, cut out the laptop without the actual background and put it over the other image . Confusing ?


Just cut and paste buddy, CUT and PASTE.
